I'y dear Mr* McKean:
The receipt is acknowledged of your letter of
September 4 inclosing estimates of material for the line
fence between the Ute Mountain and San Juan Reservations,
which you say will cost approximately $ 1,500.
Prom your letter of July 11, 1925, to Superintendent
Kneale, a copy of which you sent the Office, it appears
that you expected to confer with him relative to the construction
of this fenco and the employment of a linerider;
and you also express the opinion that the cost of the
fence should be divided equally between the two jurisdictions
In your letter of September 4, you do not say whether
you have done this, or, if so, with what result. The
Office agrees with you that it would be proper to divide
the cost of the fence equally between the two jurisdictions.
