My dear Mr. Rawlinga:
In response to your recent undated letter relative to tha
burial place of Ouray and Chipeta, you ars informed that Chisf
Ouray waa at first secretly buried by his Indians ia a cavs in
tha mountains near Ignacio, Colorado, and in ~A*y 1925, hia bones
were taken bp and placed in the Indian cemetery at Ignacio. F*

Uintah Indian Heaerration in Utah, and in March 1925, bar body was
removed to yontroae, Colorado, and buriad at -what i3 said to be an
old horae place of Ouray and Chipeta.
