Prince papers (1833-1995) contain scriptural and historical research conducted for the writing of Prince's book, Power From on High: The Development of Mormon Priesthood, as well as two typescript drafts of the book's text. His research includes copies of sections of the diaries of Joseph Smith, Emma Smith, Hyrum Smith, and other prominent people in the early years of the LDS Church. It also includes minutes of meetings for the LDS Relief Society and meetings where Joseph Smith introduced the ordinances of the priesthood. Prince is the author of books on the history of the LDS priesthood.

Most of the addendum deals primarily with proselyting missions that LeGrand Richards initiated for the LDS Church in Southern California in the mid-1950s, but were disbanded in 1959.

Box 22 contains segments of oral interviews conducted by Gregory A. Prince and Wm. Robert Wright about various aspects of David O. McKay's live and role within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After transcribing each interview, Gregory A. Prince divided the transcripts into segments according to the topic that that a given section of the interview focused on. He then placed segments of the interviews into one of the following subject files according to what the individuals interviewed were discussing. Therefore, each subject file contains segments of interviews with many different people. Generally at the end of each interview segment lists the interviewee and date that the interview was conducted. Complete transcriptions of the oral interviews remain in the possession of Gregory A. Prince.

McKay's life, and his tenure as President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He transcribed this information, then divided it into subject files. In most case, Prince indicates the repository housing material from which his transcriptions were made.

The Gregory A. Prince papers (1833-1995) contain scriptural and historical research conducted for the writing of Prince's book, Power From on High: The Development of Mormon Priesthood (Salt Lake City: Signature Books, 1995), as well as two typescript drafts of the book's text. His research includes copies of sections of the diaries of Joseph Smith, Emma Smith, Hyrum Smith, and other prominent people in the early years of the LDS Church. It also includes minutes of meetings for the LDS Relief Society and meetings where Joseph Smith introduced the ordinances of the priesthood. Sections of the Doctrine and Covenants are also included. Copies of patriarchal blessings given by Joseph Smith, Sr., Hyrum Smith, and other patriarchs from 1833 to 1844 are contained in box 1. The handwritten notes and historical and scriptural references, titled by Prince "Priesthood Manuscript," are housed in boxes 2-6. The series of drafts for the book are in boxes 7-11. The first draft, titled "Power From on High" and "Endowment Manuscript," is in boxes 7-8. The second draft, titled Power From on High: The Development of the Mormon Priesthood, is contained in box 9. The corrected galleys and indexing notes are housed in box 10. The page proofs and the index for the book is contained in box 11. Gregory A. Prince is Vice President and Director of Research of Virion Systems, Inc., a Maryland biotechnology corporation. In addition to his writing of professional articles on medical themes, he has written two books on the Mormon Priesthood, Having Authority: The Origins and Development of Priesthood During the Ministry of Joseph Smith (1993). Power from on High: The Development of the Mormon Priesthood, in (1995). Boxes 22-51 Contain much of the source material for Gregory A. Prince and Wm. Robert Wright's David O. McKay: And the Rise of Modern Mormonism 2005. His book about David O. McKay is the first to utilize the David O. McKay papers (Ms. 668).
