Description Conversations with Caligula is a play in two acts which combines research in the field of psychology with an exploration of Ancient Roman history. Topics include the life and exploits of Caligula, third emperor of Rome; the writings of Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus; mental health, specifically symptoms of schizophrenia; and the treatment and perceptions of mental disorders in contemporary and ancient times. The text includes original compositions in Latin as well as Latin quotations from Suetonius himself with accompanying translation. The play tells the story of Fein, a mental health patient, his sister Claire, and their struggle dealing with disorder both past and present.
