Description |
Notch Peak October 1950. The story is told about a sheepherder on a side hill near the Notch. Suddenly he heard the sounds of horses and steel shoes rushing right up to him and then stopping. He didn't look up because he thought it was a prank by his fellow sheepherders. But his dog started to whine and his horse trotted away. The sheepheder stood up expecting to see his noisy companions but no one was there! The sounds came from deep underground--the Mountain with Voice--Notch Peak. |
