Description On Thursday, June 23, 1983, 5 to 7 billion gallons of water collapsed the strained DMAD Reservoir spillway and began a slow but relentless journey down the last leg of the Sevier River. Shown here are the flumes which carried the main water canal across the Seveir River to the 30,000 acres of farmland in the Sutherland, Abraham, and Sugarville areas
