Lake Florence is one of the Three Sisters Lakes with Blanche and Lillian in Mill B South Fork. Water needs in Salt Lake Valley were growing quickly at the turn of the 20th century. A dam was constructed in 1908 at the west end of Lake Florence to store more water for late summer drawdown. The lake is no longer used to store water, although the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities owns the water rights in the lake.
