Description	Bingham Mercantile in the mining town of Bingham, Utah. Left to right: Joe De Friez, Nellie De Friez, and the rest of the mercantile staff. Joe rode a horse at bill collector for the store.
Comment	Gold, silver, lead, and then copper were mined in Bingham. General Patrick Conner's men from Fort Douglas actually staked the first claim in the canyon. At its peak, Bingham was seven miles long but less than a city block wide. The town was unincorporated in 1971 and demolished to make way for further mining development.
