Description First buildings of Corinne, Utah along what would be called Montana Street. `Corinne was established as an anti-Mormon or "Gentile" settlement, determined to overcome the dominate religious influence in Utah. The origin of its name varies from it being named after General Partrick E. Connor, commanding officer at Fort Douglas, to it being named after a well-known actress, Corinne LaVaunt. Despite thriving plans of development, growth in Corinne never occurred.
