Description Donor, Gordon Chisholm Bennett in 1966 said, "Believed to be Eureka, Utah in the early days. Near here was the famous Centennial Eureka Mine, owned by Robert Bruce and William W. Chisholm, concerning which there was family dissension when R. B. Chisholm's estate was settled. Man leaning against the porch post of the Hotel Eureka is probably William Wallace Chisholm." Bartender is in fron tof the Silver Palace. His name was D. J. Sullivan. Man third from right could possibly be Heber Fields. The City Meat Market was owned by Pat Fennell.
Comment Eureka was settled when gold was discovered in 1869. More than six communities were settled to provide housing to miners.
