Amorah Lee Smithson, with her husband Lehi, was the daughter of John D. Lee. John Doyle Lee was a Mormon pioneer, U.S. Indian Agent in Iron County, and the central figure in the tragic Mountain Meadows Massacre, in which he was executed for the crimes, 20 years afterward.
