Image shows the Wasatch Store at Winter Quarters where caskets were unloaded and collected after a large mine explosion. Caskets were brought in from Salt Lake City and from Denver.
Winter Quarters was an old mining town near Scofield in Utah's Carbon County. The town is now a ghost town, but is most remembered for a huge explosion in 1900 that lead to the death of nearly 200 miners.
