Description Dr Price was born Kashing Chekiang China in 1897. Dr Price received his B.A at Davidson College in 1917. Dr Price attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine from 1917-1919, but obtained his M.D. in 1921 from Johns Hopkins University. Dr Price completed his Internship at Union Protestant Infirmary, Baltimore, Maryland 1921-1922 and his surgical Residency at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, 1922-1925. Dr Prince was a medical missionary in China from 1925-1938 serving as Surgeon at the Elizabeth Blake Hospital in Soochow, China, 1927-1928; Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cheeloo University, Tsinan, China, 1928-1933 and Associate Professor of Surgery 1933-1938. Dr Price was Medical Director of University Hospital, Tsnian, China, from 1933-1938. Dr Price returned to Johns Hopkins in 1938 as Assistant Instructor and Associate in Surgery, serving in those capacities until 1943 when he left to become Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University School of Medicine (1943-1956). Dr Price became Professor of Surgery in 1956 as well as Dean of the School of Medicine until his retirement in 1962. Dr Price died in 1982.
