Description By 1956, Drs. Price, Wintrobe, Goodman and their team of medical school leaders, reverently nicknamed "The Quorum," had persuaded the U's Board of Regents to approve a $10 million medical center with a companion hospital, which would allow the school to move out of the Salt Lake County Hospital, situated approximately five miles from campus, and into a unified, modern building physically connected to the medical school. The "Quorum" from left to right: Drs Leonard Jarcho, George E. Cartwright, Maxwell M. Wintrobe, B. Val Jager, Frank H. Tyler, Harold Brown, Lyman R. Fulton, Glen R. Leymaster, and in the rear standing, H. William Harris and Hans H. Hecht.
