Description Dr Divett was born in Salt Lake City in 1925. He received his B.S. and M.A. from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Dr Divett earned his Ed.D. from the University of Utah in 1968. Dr Divett was Assistant Medical Librarian at Vanderbilt University from 1954-1956. Dr Divett return to the University as Assistant Professor of Library Science and Medical Librarian from 1956-1962. Dr Divett was Medical Sciences Librarian from 1963-1977, Associate Professor 1963-1981 at the University of New Mexico and became Professor Emeritus of Medical Bibliography in 1981. Dr Divett received the Gottlieb Prize from the Medical Library Association in 1959 and 1962. Dr Divett is best-known for his 1981 history, "Medicine and the Mormons". Dr Divett died in 1994.
