Description Dr Moody was born in Franklin, New Hampshire in 1928. Dr Moody received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1952 and his M.D. from Cornell University in 1956. Dr Moody completed his Internship at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center and his residency in surgery 1957-1963 at Cornell. Dr Moody was Clinical Instructor in surgery at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center from 1963-1965. Dr Moody was Assistant Professor (1965-1966), Associate Professor (1966-1969) and Professor (1969-1971) of surgery at the University of Alabama. Dr Moody was Chair and Chief of Surgery at the University from 1971-1982. Dr Moody left the University to become Chairman of the Department of Surgery 1982-1994 and Professor of Surgery at the Graduate School of Biomedical Science, University of Texas Health Sciences Center, Houston. Dr Moody was Denton A. Cooley Professor of Surgery from 1994-2000. Dr Moody died in 2016.
