Description
The Choraleers were organized in 1960 under the direction of Ora Fay Oviatt. In 1962 their numbers exceeds one hundred voices, made up of eighth and ninth grade girls chosen through audition. The preformed in the Vernal area for civic clubs, churches and scholl assemblies. Accompanist for the group was Amy Lube. Some of the girls identified are Diana Searle, Lynn Merkley, Jane Williams, Clara Jean Abplanalp, Christine Arave, Adreana Raines, Dana Mansfield, Barbara Clark, Lela Hacking, Leslie Davis, Anita Erickson, and Lillian Allen. Officers for the year were Pat Clark, Dorothy Morse, Pat Gardiner, Carolyn Roberts, Leslie Davis and Janet Oaks. Similar photo located in 1962 Ashley Valley Junior High Yearbook-page 48.
