Description This project will design a course that teaches business principles and practices for the non-business major. Although it is designed specifically for the students of the Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program, it will benefit students choosing to enroll from any field of study. This course seeks to help the student of gerontology learn and practice the fundamental principles of business that will allow them to apply their knowledge of gerontology to meeting the needs and wants of the aging population in ways that are ethical, compassionate, and further the process of optimal aging and quality of life. They will develop an advantage over gerontology students from around the country with this signature experience not currently available in other certificate and graduate programs. It will benefit the student, the University of Utah, and most importantly, the aging population.
