Note: This temple has many outstanding sculptures from the 8th to 14th centuries. These include a wooden sculpture of Kuya (with six small figures coming out of his mouth, invoking the Amida Buddha) by Kosho and a statue of Taira no Kiyomori sitting, holding a scroll.--Buddhist Travel website. |
