UNITED STATES INDIAN SERVICE ~
Consolidated Ute Agency
Ignacio, Colorado
The honorable Commissioner of Indian Affairs,
Washington, D. C.
My dear Mr. Commissioner:
The records of this office indicate that there have been a number of allotments made to the Ute Indians of Allen Canyon, Utah, on the public domain; and information i s requested as to whether or not there is. a schedule of allotments; or other record which could be furnished this office.
These are trust patents and it is considered very important that a correct record of all such patents be kept at the -agency for present and future administrations of the affairs of these Indians. If any such schedule has ever been made it is respectfully recommended that this agency be furnished with a copy and also a proper allotment book.
Very respectfully,
Walter F. Dickens,
Supt. and S.D.A.
