Show Jan 31, 1924 Mr. A.W. Simington, Special Allotting Agent, Towaoc, Colorado. My dear Mr. Simington: Receipt is acknowledged, of your letter of January 17 regarding certain surveys which you have been directed to make of oil and gas lands on the Ute Indian Reservation. Responsive to your request, you are authorised to expend not to exceed $400.00 for the hire of two Assistants at not to exceed $5.00 per day while employed, and subsistence at not to exceed $35.00 per month for the two, payable from funds, heretofore allotted to you from the appropriation, "Surveying and Allotting Indian Reservations, Reimbursable, 1923-24".
