Supt. E. E. McKean,
Ignacio, Col.
Dear Sir:
I have the copy of your letter addressed to
Mr. Black relative the shooting of one Joseph H.
Wilson near Moab, Utah, in 1880.
This matter has been taken up with several of
the older Indians here and none of them know any
of the people mentioned in your letter, ie, Cuban
Jones, Bishop Red or John Adams, and they also
claim that they have never heard of the above shooting,
but think that it was probably done by the
Piutes who frequented the country around Moab.
If anything further comes to light you will be
promptly advised.
Yours very truly.
