Description A studio portrait (standing) of Chippin (Always Riding), a Native American (Ute) warrior. He wears a bead and naja ornament woven into his shoulder length hair. He has several large metal hoop earrings and a multi-strand hair pipe (bone) choker with contrast bead stations. Several deerskin medicine bundles hang around his neck, some with elaborate bead patterns. His buckskin tunic has contrast inset panels, long sleeves and fringed cuffs. Snug hide leggings gather at his ankles, flare and drape to the floor in fringes. A large knife hangs from one hip, a beaded hide paint bag on the other. His knife is sheathed in animal hide with a chain and animal claw attached. His moccasins have a center medallion bead design with contrasting stripes around the edges.
