Title Computational R&D for industrial applications
Date 2005
Description Recent advances in high-speed supercomputer and computational algorithms have brought us into a new era of computational materials science. These advances make it possible to investigate many existing materials systems that were previously considered intractable and also predict and design novel materials that did not exist in nature but possess desirable and superior properties. Computer modeling and simulation has not only emerged as an additional method for scientific research in parallel to experimentation and theory, but has also become a new and effective method testing, and development.
