Content Description +/-

This collection consists of announcements and schedules, memoranda, and minutes of the All Staff committee. Created in 1987 by Westminster College Administrative Services, its purpose was to increase the communication among college offices in general, and specifically other college offices with the Registrar's Office.

The first recorded meeting was held on 2 October 1987 and the last on 13 October 1999. The meetings were usually held monthly and were short and rarely lasted more then two hours. They were attended by one representative from each of the following offices: Accounting services, Administrative services, Admissions, Arts and Sciences, the Business School, Computer Services, Financial aid, Institutional Advancement, Maintenance, Nursing, Plant operations/Facilities Management, Public relations, Print Shop/Mailroom, Registrar, Academic Vice-President, Library, Security, and Student Services

The first folder contains announcements and schedules. The announcements consist of general registration information, while the schedules are for Distinguished Resident, Art Young and College President Peggy Stock.

The memoranda included in this collection are addressed to both All Staff and faculty. Most relate to All Staff elections, employment benefits, policies, and college events. They also include some correspondence that concerned announcements of new programs and other events in the college between the faculty and the Board of Trustees

The meeting minutes record the proceedings of the monthly meeting. They include a call to order, approval of minutes, representatives' reports, discussions of new and old business, and the announcement of upcoming events. The minutes also documented the regular presentations given in the meetings on different social topics such as organizational behavior, the alcohol and drug abuse prevention program, time management, stress relief during the holidays etc. Every year a chairman was elected among the members of the All Staff and he/she conducted the meeting. The format of the minutes changed little from the 1980s and 1990s later adding only monthly birthdates and business information about new or changes in existing services or events on campus. Flyers are frequently attached to the minutes on general self-help information (for example, burnout).

All Staff activities were discontinued by President Stock and its last recorded meeting was held on 13 October 1999. The minutes do not record the organization's demise, they just end.

Gaps in the collection are the minutes for the following dates: January 1988, October 1988, March-April 1991, September-October 1991, July 1999, and September 1999.
