Note Sounds were recorded 2/29/09 from 8 - 10 PM on a very windy night on the outskirts of Chico, Butte County, California. Air temperature was 63 degrees, elevation, aprox. 180 ft. Spadefoots were calling from hidden locations at the edge of flooded depressions on a grassy plain near a permanent creek; Local Time: Between 8 PM and 10 PM
